Excitement is in the air! This is the Edmonton Women's Project Choir inaugural concert. This group of 30 women put this concert together after only 8 rehearsals. The women get real, and real funny in this varied concert of choral works, solos and spoken word.

WHO WE ARE

A short-term woman-identifying choir: 8 rehearsals finishing with a concert expanded by contributions from the participants. No auditions: vocal instruction, priority on women’s experiences, fun and a sense of community are the main focuses.

This project is a spinoff of the Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus Chamber Choirs which are inactive for the 2025-26 season. Mireille Rijavec is conducting this project and Roxanne Classen is our collaborative pianist.

When/Where are rehearsals?

Rehearsals will take place at Hosanna Lutheran Church 9009-163 Street on Sundays from 2 pm to 4:30pm on the following days:

March 22 & 29.
April 12, 19, 26.
May 3.

Final rehearsals and concert will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church: 10014 – 84 Avenue

Thursday, May 7, 7 to 9:30pm .

Dress rehearsal:
Saturday, May 9, 2pm to 4:30pm.

Concert:
Sunday, May 10 (Mother's Day), 3pm.

How Much Does it Cost?

We operate on a "Pay What You Will" system. Whatever you can afford and whatever you feel it is worth.
